Laser Surgery for Vaginal Tightening

Laser Vagina Tightening

Laser Vagina Tightening or ‘Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation’ (LVR) is performed to tighten and rejuvenate the vaginal canal with a non-surgical operation. This application is provided by thermal and ablative effects of the laser light. It doesn’t have any incision, anesthesia or pain during the procedure. It’s been used not only for the rejuvenation of vagina, but also for stress urinary incontinence treatment, sexual enhancement, menopausal vulvo-vaginal atropy symptoms, and lichen sclerosus treatment.

All women who are not virgin and who are active in their sexual lives can undergo laser vaginal rejuvenation. Vaginal tightening can be a solution for couples having enlargement and expansion complaints. These women usually have complaints like ‘I don’t feel anything with my partner’. About 3 weeks after laser vaginal rejuvenation, both male and female partners feel tightening and ‘increased sensation’ during their sexual intercourse.

Why is laser vaginal rejuvenation is preferred?

There are many advantages of laser vaginal rejuvenation. These are; it is a painless procedure, anesthesia is not required, no surgery risk since it is not a surgical operation, it shows the effect in a short time, also is a solution for different diseases and gynecological problems.

How does laser vaginal rejuvenation effect?

There are two effects of laser: Thermal (Heating) and Ablative (Destructive). These effects cause mild and temporary damage to the vaginal canal. The ‘inflammatory’ response occurs in the tissue due to this temporary damage. Restorative cells, called as ‘fibroblast’, attacking to the damaged tissue try to rejuvenate this tissue.

In this process, fibroblasts increase the production of ‘collagen’ and ‘elastic’ connective tissue in skin. Then, tissue rejuvenation and tightening is achieved.

Appendicitis

Appendicitis is a sudden inflammation of the appendix. Although the appendix does not seem to serve any purpose, it can become diseased and, if untreated, can burst, causing infection and could be even fatal.

Am I a suitable candidate for vaginal tightening (vaginoplasty)?

A consultation with our expert will be necessary to determine if laser, stem cell or surgical vaginal rejuvenation surgery is the right treatment for you. The decision will depend on your degree of vaginal laxity, desired results as well as coexisting problems such as urinary incontinence, recurrent vaginal infections, sexual function and pleasure. In some cases, a combination of procedures may be recommended.

How long will treatment take?

While surgery requires downtime to recover, noninvasive procedures often require multiple treatments to achieve the results you’re looking for.

Many women prefer multiple laser or RF energy treatments to surgery because they’re:

  • More comfortable and pain-free
  • Quick and easy to fit into your lifestyle
  • A natural approach as your body rejuvenates itself from the inside

These treatments target the affected tissue to stimulate the natural production of collagen, which is the protein responsible for healing the vagina tissue and refreshing its appearance. When looseness and sagging is an issue, treatments like ThermiVa® work by contracting the tissue inside the vagina to tighten it up and shrink the skin on the outside of the vulva.
